A MESSAGE FROM

OUR PRINCIPAL

My dear parents It is a well known fact that education is such a tool which helps every child to develop a set of relevant skills. It is a basic necessity, which gives them the confidence to rise above the convention of rudimentary dogma.

The time has come when we should break the shackles of traditional mode of schooling and take the schools towards empowering mode. Every learner should feel enthusiastic about what he/she is learning then only it becomes wisdom for them. It then becomes a handy tool which they can apply in their real life situations.

For this the most essential factor is to provide them with multiple learning techniques which will gradually help them become self learners.

Let us understand that we are living in an era which is exploding with information.

So as educators we are not here to just feed them with information but to increase their yearning for research, discovery and ultimately give them platforms for bringing out their innovative and creative mindset.It is at this point that we complete the purpose of education.

For attaining the above said factors I believe that educators must be zealous and unstoppable. Every teacher should be excited about exploring new avenues for making their kids explore greener pastures of learning. They also need to understand that text book is a mere resource which only aids in helping them gather information.

The world is booming with information. Our aim is to shift our focus from content based learning to concept based learning. This statement of mine does not decry the use of content but through comprehension their minds should open up to diverse thinking challenges. This will develop a natural flair in them to develop the essential 21st century competences, topping the list would be lateral thinking.

At INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC SCHOOL it is my teams endeavor to nurture and develop such children who will have the ability to think and act for themselves through our conceptual approach. That is the sole reason that we have already started developing our thematic content for grade 1 to 5 where English and EVS have been intertwined to provide children a platform for imagination and invention.

Thus making the language skills of our children strong and simultaneously develop an inquiring mind set in them. Similarly for Mathematics also we are developing the same research based approach combined with problem solving ability. Once our kids have a strong footing in these two areas no one can stop their enquiring mindset which would propel them to be lifelong learners.

With these words I welcome you all to make our kids celebrate learning and make their schooling a happy experience.
